Delightful evening from start to finish. From the ambience of the music to the authenticity of a professionally made margaritas. A portion of fajitas that distinguished them selves against some of the finest Mexican restaurants I've fequented in the past. Truly a South American Ray of sunshine in a moderate pub setting.
Just been to the Plough in Great Chesterford for their Mexican Evening . The staff were wonderful very attentive excellent service. The food was fantastic the enchiladas were delicious and the fajitas were very tasteful would recommend this pub to anyone living in the area near Saffron Walden
Lovely pub and friendly staff, it was a shame the food was disappointing, we went for lunch for my husbands birthday, with our 2 kids, their food was great, awesome chips and lovely sausages, unfortunately my food of minted lamb meatball with linguine was cold and I have no idea how they managed to cook my husbands steak without getting any colour on the outside, no-one came to ask if the food was OK so we ate as 1. It was edible (if not very good) 2. Eating out with Kids (8 & 3yrs old) we couldnt wait for another meal to be cooked, they did apologise and took 10% off our bill at the end but were unlikely to go back again.
Good food, fair range of good beers. Pleasant village pub environment and welcoming, friendly staff. A few outdoor facilities for children and a boules pitch. Can have dogs inside but theyre well-behaved and Ive never been particularly bothered by them.
Great pub, nice atmosphere, friendly welcome (esp. from the pub dog Oscar!). We came for Friday night steak night. Great tasting steak and a nice bottle of red. Simon and Sam are great hosts. Kid friendly, our 2 loved their kids meals.
