Great place and village to stay for a day and a great breakfast
Stayed here several times now. the building is beautiful, staff amazing who do their best to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The feeling here is that the staff actually care, it's like staying with a relative and homely. The breakfast range is great and any special requests are catered for when staff made aware. If you want a nice quiet pleasant retreat and customer care then this is the place you need to stay. Will definitely stay here every time I come to Cambridge. Thank you x
A tad disappointed if I'm honest. The rooms were a tad dated, though very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was a buffet style and, with options for cereal, yoghurt etc, but ultimately pretty average. No restaurant for evening meals. I didn't really feel it was value for money. The service however was friendly and polite
It was a lovely day so it 2 as great to be able to enjoy the patio and garden. Unfortunately our buffet was served in the conservatory which was very hot. - not so good for sandwiches etc. I asked about gluten and dairy free options and as the buffet was not suitable they brought me out a special plate of food. Unfortunately the ladies room is upstairs on the first floor. I didn't see a lift but there might have been one. In ghe bar area there is a big change in floor height with a slope rather than a step but it is all the same flooring so it is not very obvious.
Lovely old historic hotel. Beautiful gardens. Peaceful setting in quiet village. Excellent breakfast, but shame that restaurant currently closed. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Friendly staff.
