I can't speak much for how it was 2 months ago when most of the reviews were cherry picked however now it is a complete joke. I've arrived twice now half way through my bike ride only to be told that there is no food and the kitchen is closed(allegedly after 1:30). There are no adults working there and they haven't taught the teenage staff how to use a microwave or make any food whatsoever. Then we get started on the prices which are extremely aspirational for what you get. Oh and once you've been starved to death and overcharged for your coffee since that's all you'll be having you won't actually be able to find a seat, or a large enough table to fit anything on. The furniture outside is tragically uncomfortable and lacking in quantity.The problem doesn't remain with the teenage staff as they are clearly trying reasonably hard however it does lie with the clearly incompetent manager(s).
This cycling cafe is a must! Loads of good racks outside for parking your bike and plenty of space inside so you're pretty much always guaranteed a somewhere to sit. The coffee was nice and the smashed avocado on sourdough went down a treat.The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star review is because the hand dryer is the worst hand dryer I've ever used in my entire life. My mate and I were laughing about how miserably bad it was as we cycled home.Despite that, I'd definitely go back again and have already recommended it to loads of my friends who go cycling in that area.

Unfortunately i need to change my review.Previously I gave 5*s. Bicicletta wasincredibly warm and friendly, and had great coffee (the best in Saffron Walden).Recently things have been changing. Whilst still a friendly enough place, it doesn't feel special any more.A recent coffee was like drinking brown water.I hope things improve, but wont be going back any time soon.
Bicicletta is really casual and kind of minimal in its offerings, but serves an excellent coffee and has some very decent light meal options.I had the smashed avocado on sourdough bread with poached eggs, which was rather excellent.The staff is really attententive and pleasant and the service quick.Just having come back from a trip through Italy, this place does have a true Italian vibe to it.
