Ladywell Cottage: Nice and comfortable completely renovated barn, kind hosts, quiet and great landscape, we loved it.

We stayed here for 6 weeks before we moved in to our new house. Sue and Graham were very welcoming and the cottage was very cosy in the winter with the log burner going. The cottage had everything we needed and we would thoroughly recommend it.

We stayed in cosy Ladywell cottage this Summer while we were waiting for our new house to be completed, and had a superb time. The weather was fantastic which added to the beautiful views across lovely rolling countryside with good walking oportunities. The location couldn't have been better with Ashdon a 5 minute drive, Saffron Walden 15 minutes and Cambridge 25 minutes away. Sue, the proprietor, gave us a warm welcome and all the information we needed to thoroughly enjoy our stay. Would recommend!

I remember this from a long time ago.I think it was 1998 and i was a boy from 12 years old.Wtih my parents, brother, aunt and uncle and the kids, we spent our holiday over here in the summer, and i remember it as a very nice place. The people were very nice, it was a big house, (we stayed in the black one), they had a gameroom with a pooltabel and they had a nice playground. At that time every were i got i had a football with me and that wasn't a problem, grass and fields enough over there.I also remember the people had a pig called Rosie and a dog called Minnie.Nice location if you are with a family with younger kids.
