Always good - but been in twice now to find no cakes!!! With other cake laiden tea rooms in town this isn't a good thing.In response to Kim's Response:Yes - I was full of praise - I enjoyed the tea and tea cake ... as I said in review "Always good" ... I just feel (and it's a personal thing) that an erratic cake supply could lose you customers. I'll still be in for tea - great tea .. but if I want tea and cake you move down a very competitive list. This wasn't a criticism - just a constructive comment.
A tea and coffee shop how they used to be. An excellent selection or loose leaf teas, coffees and light lunches. No loyalty cards, plastic trays or piped music and unusually, dogs are welcome.
This is a very difficult to score The thing is that the food and drink here is usually very good but as others have said the proprietor can be very rude. It's very well known to the people that frequent there often and we just find it funny now. He (the proprietor) has sort of cult status! We sit there and delight at unsuspecting customers pointing out and dirty knife or something trivial. (crash helmets on!) Anyway like I say, the food and drink and the location are very good My advice is .. order your food and drink, sit quietly and don't give him eye contact and you should emerge from the premises unscathed !!
Beautiful sandwich made with quality produce and plenty of it. You certainly are not looking to find the filling in these. Lovely quality coffee probably best one I've ever had.Excellent service too. Highly recommend
